Living Fully
Thriving Beyond Cancer — A Survivor’s Insight into the Cancer Journey
I found the lump myself. I was standing in my own bedroom, and part of me already knew what it meant — I had spent twenty years as an EMT carrying other people to the cancer centre, and I had watched family members die of it.
This book is what I wish someone had handed me in that first week. Understanding your diagnosis. Preparing for treatment. Holding your body together. Holding your mind together. Relationships, money, work, faith, and the strange guilt of surviving when others did not.
It is written as a survivor, a family member, a healthcare worker and a counsellor — because I have been all four, and the view is different from each one.
